Welcome to the site of MRKT 3701 Sustainable Marketing. This web page was prepared by students taking the Sustainable Marketing course, during the spring semester of 2013. It highlights their experience throughout the course.
Woodbury University’s MRKT 3701 Sustainable Marketing course allowed students to explore what sustainability means and what role it plays in society, the economy and the environment. Students applied concepts of sustainability to business strategies to see what can make a company more socially and economically responsible while maintaining its business goals. Students learned these skills through teamwork, research and oral and written presentations.
Throughout this course students have read a variety of literature to understand the effects of unsustainable practices in many different industries and watched educational videos demonstrating what advocacy groups and other organizations have done to create a change. Students have acquired field experience from group projects and site visits to local organizations that are currently contributing to Los Angeles' sustainability efforts.
